A report published by Opera reveals that Micromax Q5 is among the top 10 handsets for March 2011. The list is dominated by Nokia with several models of the Finnish mobile phone manufacturer featuring in the list, but featuring of Micromax Q5 in the list is an indication that this Indian cell phone company is going to give a tough competition to established players in the segment.
MicroMax Q5 Equipped With Great Features
One of the major reasons for the popularity of Micromax Q5 is its features. The GSM phone has dual SIM option and boasts of a QWERTY keypad and trackball. The phone has a 2 MP camera and the memory can be expanded up to 8GB. Connectivity of the phone is enhanced by the presence of GPRS, EDGE, Bluetooth and USB cable. At the same time the pricing of the phone too is pretty reasonable. One can snap the phone for approximately Rs 3600.
Micromax has recently come up with its Android handset, A60 Andro and the company has been successfully able to exploit the potential of rural India where demand for low budget handset equipped with high-end features are on a rise. Nokia on the other hand though continues to be the number one handset seller in the country has been witnessing a drop in its market share and now is working on a strategy to revamp it.
