SMSFraud Trojan Forces you to Pay for Installing Free Software

Recently I read about a new type of Software Fraud which makes the user to pay some money to install free software. Netlink Network Corp.(A fraud Company I guess) asks the user to send some SMS to get the registration code while installing freeware software like WinRAR, Messenger Plus! Live, WinZip, WinAce, 7Zip and many others. You are charged around $10 for all the SMS that you send. Novice users are easily folled by this method.
Few days back McAfee found few sites which are making this type of Software bundles which ask you to send SMS to get the installation codes. They categorized this as a SMSFraud Trojan which attempts to charge the user for installing free software. So when you download the software from the site, the SMSFraud asks the user to send a SMS text message to a specified number. The user will be charged to receive a code which will then enable you to download some free software which is available at the official site for free. So you are just fooled and are made to pay for free software. I came to know that many innocent computer users are fooled by this method. So be careful and if you find any software simialr to this report it to McAfee or some other AntiVirus provider.
