LG Mobiles, which has recently come up with a couple of smarphones namely LG Optimus 2X and Optimus Black in the Indian market has announced that its its yet to be launched LG Optimus Pad Tablet PC will be launched in India by June. LG however, has not yet revealed the pricing of the tablet PC, though it is anticipated that it could cost approximately Rs 30,000. Meanwhile LG India’s official say that the company is yet to decide on the price of the tablet PC and it will largely depend on the import duty and the currency valuation.
Features Of LG Optimus Pad
LG Optimus Pad was unveiled at the Mobile World Congress in February and this is the first tablet PC to boast of a 3D camera. The tablet PC will run on Android 3.0 Honeycomb OS and will be equipped with dual cameras, the 5 MP rear camera and the 2MP front facing camera. The powerful dual core Tegra2 CPU Nvidia process is expected to ramp up the operations of the pad and with an internal memory storage of 32GB users can store a large of data. The memory of the pad can be further increased to 32GB with the help of a micro-SD card.
Connectivity of Optimus Pad is enhanced by the presence of GPRS, Wi-Fi, EDGE and 3G. LG Optimus Pad will sport a 8.9 inches display. The announcement of launching LG Optimus Pad has come at a time when Samsung is set to launch its Galaxy 8.9″ and 10.1″ tablets in the country and Indian cell phone manufacturers like Micromax and Lava have announced their developments on their own tablet PCs.
