Nexus S Launched In India

The wait is finally over for Indian users who wanted to have their piece of Nexus S. Samsung has rolled out the much Samsung Nexus S Image

awaited Nexus S in the Indian market which has been developed in association with Google. Nexus S runs on Android 2.3 (Gingerbread) and is the first phone from Samsung which sports a 4 inches S-LCD capacitive touch screen along with support for Near Field Communication (NFC) technology.

Nexus S Features

Nexus S offers users a host of features. It has pre-loaded apps such as Youtube, Google Maps, Gmail etc and the NFC technology of the device helps users to read information from tags integrated with NFC chips. The phone is powered by 1 GHz ARM Cortex-A8 processor which speeds up operations of the device and the brilliant 3 D graphics of the phone will be loved by gamers. Connectivity is seamless with Nexus S with the phone offering support for both 2G and 3G. There is also support for GPRS and EDGE.

The phone has a 5MP camera. However, one of the major disadvantages of the phone is that it has no slot for memory expansion. Apart from Nexus S, Samsung has launched 5 new Galaxy Smart phones in the country. Ranjit Yadav, country head of Samsung Mobile and IT commented that the company’s smartphone strategy aims to seamless connectivity to users anywhere they go. Nexus S can be snapped for Rs 29,590.
