8 MegaPixel Camera Phone From Nokia

Technology has again reached a newer horizon. Nokia is again ready to steal the show. This time it is with its brand new N86 8MP phone. A phone with which people gets an access to load of facilities. The best part of this model is its 8 mega pixel (3280 x 2464) camera lense. True. At last a manufacturer has taken extra care for the camera of a mobile phone.

This model of Nokia has been launched on 10th of this month and global shipment has already started. It has been widely appreciated across the globe. It has been embraced as one fabulous addition in the list of gadgets. Apart from the 8 megapixel, the phone has also been accepted due to its advanced features like mechanical shutter, variable aperture, a dual-LED flash, 8GB internal memory that is expandable up to 16GB.

For N86 8MP it is also said that it is Nokia’s best mobile imaging device. Earlier it has also won the prestigious TIPA Award for the Best Mobile Imaging Device 2009.

This model features variable aperture that results in vibrant photos even in challenging bright and low-light conditions. The mechanical shutter is fast and it also has Automatic Motion Blur Reduction to ensure shorter latencies and less motion blur. If we compare with other camera phones, the processing times between pictures have been more than halved.

Other Specifications And Features

  • Measurement – 103, 4 x 51, 4 x 16, 5-18, 5 millimeters and it weigh only 149 grams (battery included).
  • Screen Resolution – 320 x 240 pixels (QVGA) with smart display features. The model appears to be a 2-way slider with spring assistance mechanism.
  • Battery – Provides a talk time of up to 9 hours for GSM connection, 5 hours for WCDMA and 11 hours for VoIP over WLAN. The stand by capacity is amazing. It is up to 363 hours. The video playback is up to 7 hours for VGA 30fps and 5 hours for QCIF 15fps. The excitement does not stop here. It boasts 3 hours of video recording, 30 hours of music playback and 18 hours of FM transmitted music.
  • Keypad – It has covered keys with dedicated key buttons for ‘Clear,’ ‘Send’ and ‘End’ keys.
  • Flight Mode – It incorporates flight mode and it automatic switches between GSM bands and also between quad-band EGSM 850/900/1800/1900.
  • Memory – It has 8 GB internal memory and supports 16 GB external memory through micro SD memory card.
  • Data Transfer & Bluetooth – It has high speed circuit that allows data transfer up to 43.2 kbps. The Bluetooth profiles has dial up networking profile (Gateway), headset profile, phone book access profile (Server), file transfer profile (Server), device identification profile, object push profile (Server and Client), hands free profile, basic imaging profile, and also remote SIM access profile (Server).
  • Windows Live – It is also Windows Live supported. The Messenger application needs to be downloaded from www S60 com with many more free of charge applications. Nokia will also be capable in supporting protocols like IMAP, POP3, SMTP, and other email attachments with emails to also include server side filtering.

Price : 375 Euros (about $472 U.S. approx)

Overall its a very good phone for all sorts of people, whether you are a business guy or a student. We have not yet used the phone so cannot give a full review of the phone. But i hope the existing users would share this by posting their thoughts in the comments below.
