Windows SteadyState is a free application from Microsoft which can be used to protect your family from accessing inappropriate web content and also you can protect your shared computer from accidental change of settings. Windows SteadyState is quite useful for computers located at a school , an Internet café, a library and household. You can use Windows SteadyState User Settings to customize your family computer. This will help you to make it safer and easier for your children to browse the Internet and other applications. You can even restrict their access to Windows management features like the Control Panel.

With the help of Windows SteadyState you can create multiple user profiles and set different levels of restriction for each one. Windows SteadyState can also be useful in bringing your computer to its original state after your child had changed some important settings or downloaded some malicious software. The Windows Disk Protection feature in Windows SteadyState will help you to prevent these changes from causing any permanent damage to your hard disk.
