While you are planning to build a great site you need to concentrate on many things. We cannot say that one factor is important and others can be neglected. There should be a perfect blend of everything Content, Design, Readership Penetration and many more. Link Building is also one of the major factor that can influence a website very much. Natural Link Building is like a word-of-mouth publicity. It is very difficult to get natural links in the Initial days of a website. But if you are doing a better job you will definitely see a natural growth of links as the age of your domain increases.

In the initial days of your site you need to take some time to gather links. There are many link building strategies which will help you to get your Website/Blog noticed by other people. Even many Search Engines use the Link Popularity to refine their search results. So you need to definitely spend a good percentage of your time for Link Building. If you are a serious Blogger or a Webmaster you would definitely know the importance of Building Links.

Research is Very Important

Before starting your Website/Blog its is very much advisable to strongly decide on a Niche and follow the top blogs in that particular Niche. This will give you a better understanding on how the Pro-Bloggers are trying to attract the visitors and simultaneously build the links. Authority articles will definitely get a good number of natural links; So concentrate on your article Quality rather than Quantity(This may not be true in all the cases).

Set Your Goals on Link Building

It is very much better to set a short term goal and a long term goal as Link Building is not a one days job. It will definitely take a long time to get good number of links, so be prepared for it. Set a small goal which would increase your motivation and enthusiasm when you achieved it.

Quality Sites get Backlinks Easily

It is not very easy to convince people to get a backlink to your site. So you need to have a worthful site which will help you to convince others for a backlink. So do concentrate on the Design and Content of your site and make it worthful before requesting for a link back to your site. The best articles that can give you some natural links are: Product Reviews, How To’s, Tips & Tricks etc.

PageRank is not a Grade for a Site

Many Webmasters think that PageRank is the only factor that should be considered while looking for links. But that is not true as there are many other factors that you need to think of before looking for link Building. The other factors include Niche, Domain age, Search Engine Traffic, Site Authority etc. So do not concentrate on the PageRank alone rather look for a combination of the factors.

Finally managing your links, link partners data and checking link building data from time to time is also very important.

I hope this would help you to get some insight of Link Building. Do drop in your valuable feedback if you find it useful.

Great tips! I use blog commenting to build links. I believe it’s the easiest, best, and cheapest way as you will never ever spend any cents. And so, you do not do only link building but also socializing and networking. I agree with you that we should not concentrate with PageRank as you can rank good even if you got no pagerank. An example is my other blog. It got PR 0 but it is still very google friendly.

Yes blog commenting will help you to get links.. but only the do-follow blogs will add value as most the blog comments are no-follow..Even I have PR0 sites with good traffic and PR4 sites with traffic of 30-40/day!!

I agree that link building process should be well thought. Not all the sites are worth to get links from. It often happens that webmaters forget about their sites and just focus at obtaining as much inbound links as possible. I’ve been doing some SEO for our company’s website I must say I like the directory submission, article submission and blog commenting most. With the use of automatic submission tools, directory submission, article submission and blog commenting are made quick and easy. Yes, writing articles requires time and efforts, but it’s possible to hire a writer to create the articles if one is not good at writing.

I start blogging for fun but soon I grow, I get interest on it. I started with submitting my site on search engine and directories without knowing what its actually do. However, now I mature enough to know what it do. I submit my high quality articles on article directory. I always concentrate to write those article which has an evergreen value than initial value. To me after submitting web site on search engine and directory it’s good to concentrate on commenting other site. Getting backlink is hard now these days as some webmaster don’t allow low page rank site to backlink with there article due to there own page rank issue. Don’t know why they think so!
