I do intend to buy the Kingston Data Traveler 2GB USB drive which does look quite impressive because of its transparent appearance. Though it does look similar to the Raytech 1GB USB drive.Kingston Data Traveler 2GB USB drive and the Raytech 1GB USB drive though they appear to be similar but there are certain differences among the two.
- The differences are that the Raytech 1GB USB drive is slightly longer than the Kingston Data Traveler 2GB USB drive.
- The Raytech 1GB USB drive is silver in color while the Kingston Data Traveler 2GB USB drive has a mirrored surface.
- The Raytech USB drive has 1GB memory whereas the Kingston Data Traveler USB drive has 2GB memory.
The Kingston DataTraveler 101 has got capacities upto 8GB. I love the swivel model because you have no tension of loosing your cap. You can as well protect your data with SecureTraveler. With the help of this software you can create a special area in memory called “Privacy Zone” (This feature is not avaibale for Mac OS & Linux). You can access the private zone only with a password. So your data will be safe. The USB drive is available in Pink, Yellow and Cyan. It comes with Kingston’s Raliability and a 5 year warranty.
Thus both the USB drives though appearing similar have some differences. So now incase you do want to purchase a USB, you do have a choice among the two. I am using the Kingston Data Traveler 2GB USB drive which is performing its function of storage of data quite efficiently.
